A new craft fair celebrating new and traditional craft makers.
I am very pleased to announce that I will be showing my new work at Handcrafted Pembrokeshire on the 26th of May. This is a brand new event in Newport (Pembrokeshire!) , celebrating high quality handmade work and the craftspeople who make it.
“ An event to showcase the wealth of Pembrokeshire's hand crafted products, encouraging people to focus on quality and locally crafted goods. Giving you the opportunity to meet the makers behind Pembrokeshire's high end, highly crafted products. We aim to promote buying local, functional, ethical products and keeping traditional skills in demand. ”
It promises to be a really great event, with beautiful and varied work - from Astrid de Groot whose beautiful spoons and implements that balance traditional techniques with a modern aesthetic were recently featured in Country living's Modern Rustic bookerzine; to Rose Teleri, jeweller and co-creator of the event, whose work takes inspiration from the Welsh landscape, sometimes even incorporating beautiful pebbles into her wearable art.
There will also be several makers of beautiful ceramics, leather and textile work, hand-bound books and more. As well as delicious vegetarian and vegan food from Delicatessa.
So come along and meet me and these other wonderful craftspeople at Newport Memorial Hall, 10am to 4pm, Saturday 26th May 2018.
